The Olmec were perhaps the oldest known American civilization to date from Mexico.  They are also a 5 piece band from Manchester, although currently living in the South East of England. Guildford to be precise !  They have a shared passion for great music under the founder member, Richie V, the writer & vocalist of the band. TheOlmec write all their songs, play electric & acoustic guitar, various keyboards, wind instruments, drums and produce all their material. They have been recording for years and finally, the long awaited first album is out - Postcards from the Outside. 

If you like happy music then this album is probably not for you !  But don't worry because the boys are all good fun, a great laugh and very active ! Why not read their Biography and find out more?  

Their recently released, critically acclaimed album, Postcards From the Outside is difficult to describe. Some say they are the new Manchester version of Leonard Cohen while others say they are more like the Cure. The music is also influenced by Coldplay, Moby, Evanescence, Radiohead, REM, James and Joy Division.
